The Farm
Grapes, work, passion, intelligence and heart: the wines of the Farm Torraccia di Presura are a successful synthetis of all these things.
And if you add to them the meticolous and constant pursuit of quality in every stage of production, the use of the most advanced technologies together with the strict keeping of tradition, then you can understand how a quite new Farm has managed in a few years to achieve outstanding size and results.
Since the purchase of the first vineyard in 1986, through the building of the new cellar in 1995, the planting of the new vineyards in 2000, 2001, 2006, 2007 and 2009, the enlargement of the production premises in 2003, until the following extensions of the Farm up to the present 35 hectares cultivated with specialized vineyards and 10 with olive grove, the Farm has been making a constant progress thanks to the great care and dedication of Paolo Osti, engineer for his studies and profession but also wine expert for pleasure and passionate admirer of high quality wines.
The modern equipment of the cellar, including the stainless steel tanks equipped with a temperature control system which is essential especially during the vinification, the French barrels and the small oak barrels where wine matures before the development in bottle, completes the careful work started in the vineyard: the choice of lean, stony soil with ideal pedologic and altimetric characteristics and with the best exposure – essential features for a perfect ripening of vines – the careful planting, cultivation, pruning, the practice of green pruning and selective harvest; all these operations are indispensable to achieve the highest quality levels.
From 2001 until today, the wines of the Farm Torraccia di Presura have obtained numerous awards and important recognitions in international wine competitions of primary level. |
