Torraccia di Presura

Classification: red wine with Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita Chianti Classico.

Grapes: 90% Sangiovese grapes with the addition, since vintage 2000, of a small percentage of Merlot (10%); produced since 1992.

Vinification: first fermentation with maceration in stainless steel tanks with controlled temperature between 25° and 28° C. for approximately 20 days with 2 manual remontages each day. It undergoes a passage in small oak barrels and, after bottling, a refinement in bottle for at least 6 months.

Characteristics: strong ruby red colour, scent of a beautiful ripe red fruit with floral notes of brushwood, violet and iris. Well structured, balanced and fine, it has a beautiful body and a good length. Ready to be consumed after more than one year, it  keeps its best characteristics for the subsequent 10-12 years.

Alcohol: 13% by Vol.

Temperature of service: 18° C.

Combinations: tasty pasta, red and white meats, stewed meat, matured cheeses, grilled meat and vegetables.
